Md. Rafidul Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Dhaka University of Engineering & Technology (DUET), Gazipur. He earned his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from BUET in 2017 and 2021, respectively. His teaching and research interests include Renewable Energy Integration: Challenges and Solutions, Machine Learning, Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) algorithms, Smart and Micro-grids, and Power System Signal Processing. He has been actively involved in teaching undergraduate courses since joining DUET in 2018. He is professionally affiliated with the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), and the Electricity Licensing Board, contributing to national initiatives in engineering education, renewable energy development, and electrical safety regulation.
